Proximity. Placing objects close together.

Continuation. Using edges or lines that travel from one part of a composition to another

Repetition. Repeating the elements of design (line, shape, color and texture) creates unity within the artwork.

Welcome

Before you start to create your altered book it's a good idea to see some work done by professional Altered book and Visual Journal artists. You should look at all three artists first. Next, decide which one you would like to write about.
Write at least a pargraph response about one of the artist's work. You may talk about their work as a whole or a specific book or page. Remember to use "artspeak". Talk about color, shape, texture, line, and how the artist used these elements of art to make something interesting.
