More altered Book Artists and Journal Artists

More artists to look at this week. Look at all the artists then write a response (minimum 1 paragraph) about a specific piece of artwork.

Think about the design principle called Emphasis. How does the artist create a center of interest (Shout) or emphasis? Hint: Contrast is key!!!

This assignment is due Friday, March 4th.

Welcome

Before you start to create your altered book it's a good idea to see some work done by professional Altered book and Visual Journal artists. You should look at all three artists first. Next, decide which one you would like to write about.
Write at least a pargraph response about one of the artist's work. You may talk about their work as a whole or a specific book or page. Remember to use "artspeak". Talk about color, shape, texture, line, and how the artist used these elements of art to make something interesting.

This assignment is due Friday, February 11th.
