For this blog assignment you must do the following:

1) Click on this link and enter the email and password that was given to you in class.

2) You then must go through the 12 spreads from your fellow students. Look them over carefully

3) After reviewing them you must choose 2 spreads and comment on them. You may record or write your comments. YOU MUST ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS TO RECEIVE FULL CREDIT.

a) What attracted you to this student's spread and why?

b) Is there a feeling of Unity in the spread? If Yes, cite the reasons why:
Here's the definition for the Art Principle known as Unity and ways that artists acheive it in their work. Cite all that apply.

UNITY
is the feeling of harmony between all parts of the artwork creating a sense of oneness or completeness. Unity can be established by the following methods:

Proximity. Placing objects close together.

Continuation. Using edges or lines that travel from one part of a composition to another

Repetition. Repeating the elements of design (line, shape, color and texture) creates unity within the artwork.

c) If you feel the feeling of Unity could be stronger, what would you do to improve it?

Due no later than Wednesday Nov. 3rd.

More journal artists to look at this week. Look at all the artists then write a response (minimum 1 paragraph) about a specific piece of artwork.

Think about the design principle called Emphasis. How does the artist create a center of interest (Shout) or emphasis? Hint: Contrast is key!!!
